Salary: £19-21K depending on experience and background

We are looking for someone autonomous and mature to join our team from 12th August 2013 as a Head of Internship Department, to assist the Manager and work closely with the Operations Manager and the Financial Manager, as well as the other Departments.

The Internship Department constantly grows; this position requires both animating a key department of the CEI London, as well as taking part in decisions made for its development.
The main tasks will involve:
• Organizing and coordinating Internship placements for individuals and groups: conducting telephone interviews, rewriting the CVs, registering the clients’ details on the database, cold calling, visiting and mailing our current and potential partners’ companies in order to find internships offers under an agreed time frame, taking into account our clients’ profiles (level of English and previous professional experience)
• Organizing and supervising all groups’ arrival, ensuring commitment and compliance, animating meetings with groups’
• Liaising with our groups’ clients in France
• Supervising and monitoring the team’s work load (four staff)
• Representing the CEI during B to B and B to C events
• Resolving any problems encountered as quickly and efficiently as possible
• Ensuring that work is achieved to deadlines, according to expectations, monthly and yearly targets
• Recruiting and training new interns for the Department
• Reporting to the Managers
Essential Skills & Requirements:
• Be fluent in French and in English
• Be a strong communicator, comfortable conversing with internal and external parties from all backgrounds and levels
• Be persistent, diligent and a quick thinker able to respond effectively to changing situations and meet deadlines
• Delegation and team work
• Be proactive and organized with the ability to move from one task to another without losing momentum
• Be motivated by conflict management, comfortable with dealing with difficult situations and have an ability to reach mutually satisfactory outcomes
• Calm and unflappable under pressure
• Have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Full training is provided however a background in Education, Training and/or Recruitment and Management is requested.
