Comme chaque été depuis 244 ans, la Royal Academy of Arts organise sa grande foire d’Art contemporain. Chaque saison, l’institution artistique propose au public de découvrir tout ce qui se fait de mieux en matière d’art britannique, près de 11000 œuvres sont ainsi exposées mais aussi mises en vente.

Royal Academy en deux mots

Crée en 1768 par le roi George III, la RA est une institution indépendante qui a pour but la promotion et le soutient des Arts en Grande Bretagne. Elle promeut l’Art à travers des expositions, des débats mais aussi des cours destinés au public.

Summer Exhibition

D’artistes reconnus, comme Tracey Emin, Michael Craig Martin, Anselm Kiefer ou Gary Hume à de nouveaux talents encore à découvrir, on peut y aller voir peintures, sculptures, projets architecturaux, installations et bien d’autres choses encore.

Ouverte du 4 juin au 12 aout 2012, cette exposition est l’occasion de pouvoir acheter le travail de nouveaux artistes pas encore trop cotés, on vous distribue un petit catalogue avec les prix des œuvres à l’entrée. Vous pouvez repartir avec votre achat sous le bras le jour même, et contribuer ainsi à la promotion de l’Art Britannique.
